About the platform

Safe pairing: Our platform ensures users can only message individuals they already know. Strangers or acquaintances can send discreet messages to users but cannot be read or paired unless the user knows their phone number or email address.

 

No Custom Messaging: To enhance safety and minimize disruptions, users cannot send personalized messages to their crushes. This restriction reduces annoyance and maintains a secure communication environment.

 

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

When you sign up or use the App, we may collect:

  • Contact Information: Your phone number, email address, or other identifiers required to create an account.
  • Contact book data: We collect Name, Phone numbers, email addresses of your connections, when you give access to your Contacts data. This information is only used to enhance user experience and is not used for marketing purposes.
  • User-Generated Content: Messages, crush selections, and interactions made within the App.

1.2 Non-Personal Information

We may collect non-identifiable information such as:

  • App usage data (e.g., features accessed, time spent).
  • Device information (e.g., device type, operating system, browser type).
  • Location data (limited to city-level information, if enabled).
  • Device country data as a one-time upfront step at the time of set up.

 

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

  • To facilitate app functionality, including discreet messaging and mutual match/pairing notifications.
  • To anonymize messages to protect your identity until a mutual pairing occurs.
  • To enhance user experience and provide support.
  • To improve and develop features based on user feedback and app usage data.
  • To ensure compliance with legal obligations and maintain the security of our platform.

 

3. Data Protection and Security

  • All messages are made discreet to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
  • Personal information is masked and shared only in the event of a mutual pairing.
  • We implement technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
  • Though there is absolutely no exposure to strangers, users are still provided with blocking (at user level), reporting the user as abusive (at user level) and deleting a message thread (thread level) feature to protect their privacy and enhance security.
  • Users are unable to search other users on the platform, thus making it a private and secure vibe-check application.

 

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. However, we may share information in the following limited cases:

  • With Consent: When the user explicitly agree to share their information with others.
  • For Legal Reasons: To comply with legal obligations or respond to valid legal requests (e.g., subpoenas).
  • For Service Improvement: With trusted third-party providers for analytics and app improvement, ensuring they adhere to privacy standards.

 

5. Your Privacy Choices

  • Control Over Data: You can review, update, or delete your account and personal information at any time via app settings.
  • Opt-Out: You can opt out of certain features, like JoinTheQueue, location sharing, through device settings.
  • Data Deletion: If you delete your account, all personal data and messages will be permanently removed from our servers.
  • Users’ responsibility: Users are advised not to share their unique unsubscribe code received via SMS or email (“unsubscribe” option) and passwords to others, which poses a risk of data leak.

 

6. Children’s Privacy

Though the objective of the App is to just check vibe between known connections, there is an element that may expose users to strangers, so the App is not intended for individuals under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware of any data collected from users under 17, it will be promptly deleted.
