Why Do Multiple Vibe Threads Merge After Pairing?

Merging Rules

You may sometimes send Vibes to more than one identity belonging to the same person — for example, their phone number and email address.

Until you pair, each Vibe is treated as a separate thread.

One Vibe uses one credit and creates one thread. Vibes sent to different identities remain separate until a pairing exists.

What Happens After You Pair?

Once you pair with someone through one of their identities, wadaCrush can recognize other verified identities linked to that same paired profile.

Any related Vibe threads can then be merged into the existing paired thread, so you don’t see multiple conversations for the same person.

Example: You send one Vibe to someone’s phone number and another Vibe to their email address.

At first, those appear as two separate threads because they were sent to two different identities.

If you pair through the phone-number thread, and the email address is also linked to that person’s wadaCrush profile, the email Vibe thread is automatically merged into the existing paired thread.

You’ll then see one paired conversation instead of multiple threads for the same person.

What If They Add the Identity Later?

The same rule applies.

If you’re already paired and the other person later adds a phone number or email address as an alias identity, wadaCrush can recognize an existing Vibe you previously sent to that identity.

That Vibe thread can then be merged into your existing paired conversation.

Does This Happen Before Pairing?

No.

If you send Vibes to two different identities before a pairing exists, those Vibes remain separate threads.

Thread merging happens only when wadaCrush can associate those identities with the same person after a pairing exists.

One person. One paired conversation. Related Vibe threads are merged once wadaCrush can connect those identities to the same paired profile.
